The subject of Megan and Tommy's investigation is a girl who was found shot on the street. When they take her to the morgue they find that she has a gash on her stomach. They also find a letter and a tattoo which are written in a foreign language. Kate tries to get a translator but the D.A. denies her request because he fears that she's a prostitute and who knows who could have been her johns. He tells her to find another way. She then asks Sergei, a Ukranian, whom she met at a function where she's trying to drum up support for her campaign, and spent the night with. ...
