One of Kate's old boyfriends returns to town to rekindle their romance, while SU2 investigates a series of murders where the LINKS turn their victims (all male) into Stone Statues. Yes, they are the legendary Gorgons who are beautiful women who hide venomous snakes under their hair. When O'Malley is bitten while trying to save Kate Benson, they must track down the Gorgon and try to find a way to save O'Malley before he turns to stone.
