In the aftermath of the downed shuttle, Anna continues to manipulate human emotions and arranges for one of the Vs to be badly beaten and then left in alley. She announces that they no longer feel safe on Earth and will therefore leave leading to an outcry and world-wide support for them to stay. As part of her plan, Anna ensures that the attackers are identified, once again framing Kyle Hobbes for the attack.
